Tell us about its assets
I chose anti-inflammatory, restorative and healing active ingredients.
I have thus selected hemp oil which is From hemp seeds, a local vegetable oil from the Southwest, first cold-pressed. It is known for its nutritional benefits . It is particularly rich in nutrients, unsaturated fatty acids (omega-3 and 6) and vitamin E , which make it an ally for our skin.
Mustard oil , which has a natural composition rich in allyl isothiocyanate and erucic acid, gives it a stimulating and warming action , useful for stimulating blood circulation in the muscles and firming the skin.
Hazelnut oil: this French vegetable oil combines a richness in fatty acids and phytosterols known for their healing and restorative action . They also reduce inflammation.
I really fell in love with touloucouna oil . For the record, Touloucouna has its roots in Africa, more precisely in Casamance, in the south of Senegal. This tropical tree, which measures between twenty and thirty-five meters in height and almost one meter in diameter, is part of the Meliaceae family. Its fruit is shaped like a large capsule which, when ripe, falls and releases seven to nine nuts that look like chestnuts. Touloucouna oil, which is obtained by pressing its fruits, helps relax sore muscles , but also treats all the joint problems that result from them. It is rich in antioxidants that fight cell damage caused by exertion and phytosterols that act on microcirculation and have soothing and anti-inflammatory properties .
To enrich this cocktail of sharp vegetable oils, I chose arnica oil, which An ancient remedy with powerful anti-inflammatory action . Derived from mountain flowers, this oil soothes all kinds of muscle tension and also acts on circulatory problems. Arnica is very useful for limiting the extent and duration of bruises or muscle microtraumas caused by exercise.
For the first time since the creation of the Alaena range, this oil has changed its olfactory structure. Tell us about its fragrance.
"It is an ode to Trees: It is far from the world but the sea is not far. A sea whose beach no human footsteps tread. From my tree I can feel its sea spray, its green leaves, between the seaweed and cacti that line the shore. I climb my tree to take refuge there, nestled between its branches against its rough and fragrant bark. Through its pink sap and the green light that filters through the stained glass of its leaves I forget everything, I escape. Between heaven and earth I dissolve myself in the great whole of eternity, as in the ocean."
