Hotel Mendi Argia, Donostia

Founded by Nikola and Gixon, brothers from Guernica, the Mendi Argia Hotel is nestled atop Ulia Hill. A magical place that has captivated architects and designers Andrew Trotter and Mari Luz Vidal.

The studio undertook the interior design of the house, preserving its appearance and historical value while giving it a contemporary touch with a Parisian accent that transformed it into an elegant and comfortable French Basque villa.

Dressed in noble and natural materials such as terracotta, oak, and black marble from Markina, a small town near San Sebastian. In the living room, light filters through a glass door, playing hide-and-seek with the round mirror that occupies a prominent place. The work of art Big Round by Sabine Marcellis and Brit Van Nerven welcomes visitors upon arrival with a magical light show.

The Ulia Suite

The room has a bathtub where you can enjoy a beautiful view of San Sebastian and a magnificent glass-enclosed bathroom with an extra-large terrace where you can see the sunset.

Mount Ulia served for centuries as a lookout for whaling. Today, the hill boasts a new lighthouse, Mendi Argia. A luminous retreat that serves as a guide and helps us understand San Sebastian in all its simplicity and complexity.
