The History of the Hotel Regina

Built in 1907 by architect and landscaper Henry Martinet , the Regina Hotel & Spa is an emblematic Belle Époque building in Biarritz. With a monumental 15-meter-high atrium, immense bay windows overlooking the sea, an Eiffel skylight, and numerous Art Deco details, its decoration has been completely redesigned by designer Dorothée Meilichzon, revisiting the luxury of a seaside resort in Biarritz. Reinventing the score of a 1920s piano cocktail bar, sofas play on the shapes of the Itsasoan footbridge in Guéthary, creating numerous intimate spaces with suspended paper lamps by Ingo Maurer and Anthony Dickens.

The Regina Experimental team is made up of experts who deliver the best treatments in one of their three treatment rooms, including two double rooms.

The Day Spa package for 2 people offers:

• 9 a.m. - Outdoor Yoga class (1 hour)

• 10:30 a.m. Access to the outdoor swimming pool, open and heated from April to October (2 hours)

• 12:00 Lunch in our incredible Atrium or on the restaurant terrace (including: cocktail or mocktail, assortment of starters to share, dish of the day, dessert of your choice, mineral water and coffee)

• 1:30 p.m. Access to the spa's large oriental hammam

• 2 p.m. 80-minute spa treatment (Massage & facial treatment with protocols specially designed by Alaena)

The rooms

Accessed from corridors opening onto the atrium, the hotel's seventy-two white, blue, and mint green rooms face the ocean or the Biarritz Golf Course. Raw materials like straw and Japanese rope blend with nautical stripes, shells, and ocean liner style: curved, swooping shapes, long horizontal lines, aquatic-patterned rugs... for spacious and comfortable rooms and suites. Some have breathtaking views of the Atlantic coast.

The restaurant

The hotel's expansive restaurant and large panoramic ocean-facing terrace welcome Frenchie Biarritz, a creative brasserie steeped in Basque culinary culture. Refined southwestern cuisine is served in an idyllic setting with breathtaking sunset views.

The swimming pool

Heated from April to October, enjoy the hotel's swimming pool to cool off and do a few laps in a privileged setting.
