Clay
Clay is a volcanic earth, a natural source of minerals and trace elements such as magnesium, calcium and iron. It is found in different forms: dry to prepare yourself or in a ready-to-use tube.
We recommend making it yourself or buying quality clay if you don't have time.
For the body, a little-known use of green clay is in baths . It can soften the skin, soothe itching, or simply help you relax. Be careful, however, if you get into the habit of taking it regularly, remember to place a cloth over the drain when emptying the bath to avoid blocking your pipes.
To take a green clay bath, pour 2 tablespoons of green clay into a glass of water. Stir, then pour into the bath water. Before entering the bath, it is essential to cleanse your skin. Stay in the bath for 15 to 20 minutes. Dry yourself thoroughly with a terry towel. Your skin will be softened.
Other uses of green clay are face masks and hair masks.
Green clay fights premature skin aging, reduces rosacea, acne, and wrinkles. It also regulates excess sebum. It's particularly suitable for combination to oily skin. Vegetable oils, certain hydrosols, or even spirulina powder can be added to green clay to create other skincare products. Face mask recipe:
Stage #1: Pour two tablespoons of clay powder.
Step 2: Gradually pour in the water or a hydrosol such as geranium, rose, or sage hydrosol while mixing with a wooden spoon. Be careful to mix well with a wooden spoon, not a metal one, to preserve the clay's detoxifying properties.
Step 3: Apply a thin layer to your face and leave on for about ten minutes until the clay is dry. Then rinse.
As a hair mask, green clay purifies and rebalances the scalp, which tends to become oily. Apply the hair mask to the roots, avoiding the ends. Then, gently massage the scalp and the beginning of the lengths. Leave on for about ten minutes before rinsing with lemon water.
For the inside of your body, green clay can also be used as a treatment. Simply pour half a spoonful of green clay into a glass and let the mixture sit for half a day.
And you, how do you use it?
